Never let it be said that we’d rest on our laurels after the undoubted success of our Professional and Deluxe candle making kits! Peta is, at this very moment, formulating a new recipe for a forthcoming “candle in a jam jar” kit (make sure you’re on our mailing list if you want to be notified when it becomes available).
We’ve sourced some nice glass containers: smaller than a jam jar but that sort of shape. They should burn for around 25 hours but we won’t know until we get the wax mix exactly right. Peta experiments with dye and scent quantity as well as getting the mix, type and weight of wax exactly right (with a bit extra for accidents of course) and, once we’ve cracked it she hands it over to me to write the instructions, take the photos etc. I am but a lowly assistant.
You can see the first prototype version on the right —>
Our first attempt is to make an orange scented jam jar candle, along the lines of a marmalade candle but we’d love to hear if you have any suggestions! Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
