Peta held her first live candle making demonstration this week on the lovely Isle of Wight. The St Mary’s Arts & Crafts group invited Peta to give a talk so she packed up some moulds, wax, dyes, scents, wick, tabs and a camping stove and booked her passage on the Isle of Wight ferry. Sadly she clearly wasn’t paying attention when she booked the tickets and ended up having to pay a big surcharge. Lesson learned ( I hope).
During the demonstration, Peta did her best Kirstie Allsopp impression and created some scented votive candles, cup of tea container candles and then gave everyone a go at making and taking away their own beeswax candle. Luckily for her, the audience was so impressed they bought a total of 13 cup of tea kits, pro kits and beeswax kits – just about making up for the ferry ticket fiasco!
Hi Peta
i just want to say Good for you for doing what you did!! Have you thought about any more trips to do demonstrations? We would love to have you here in Belfast, i think you would do well here with your micro kits, i could come & help you out.
If you ever decide to come let me know. I know a busy shopping centre in the centre of Belfast which i think would be a success for you.
kind regards
yvonne
Thank you Yvonne – but I am going to stay local to home!
